How to enter your board
Greens go in position
Put each confirmed letter in the square where the board showed it green. Leave the others blank.
Yellows go where you tried them
The slot matters: it tells the solver where that letter definitely is not, which removes far more candidates than the letter alone.
Add greys generously
Every excluded letter cuts the list down. Type them all in one go — order does not matter and duplicates are fine.
Getting the most from the results
Pick the fresh-letter word
When several candidates remain, guess the one that tests the most untried letters rather than the likeliest word. You will usually finish a guess sooner.
Wait until guess three
Running a solver after one guess barely narrows anything. Two guesses of real information is where it starts earning its place.
Watch the count, not the list
The match count tells you how much your last guess actually achieved. A guess that halves the list was a good guess.

What is a Wordle solver used for?

Why do I get no matches?
Usually a contradictory constraint — a letter marked both green and excluded, or a yellow placed in the slot where it is actually green. Reset the board and re-enter it.

No. It filters a word list against the constraints you type in. It has no connection to the current puzzle, so it works on any day or any past puzzle.
Should I always guess the top result?
Not necessarily. When many candidates remain, a guess that tests new letters gathers more information than one that gambles on being right.
