What each clue tells you
The hints are deliberately ordered. Earlier ones describe the shape of the word; later ones narrow it to a handful of candidates.

How to use these clues well
One at a time
Open a single hint, make a guess, then come back only if you still need help. That is how you keep the puzzle satisfying.
Watch the vowels
The vowel clue is usually the biggest jump in information — it eliminates most of the remaining word list on its own.
Repeats last
If you are stuck at guess five, open the repeated-letter clue. Doubles are the classic reason a long streak ends.
Guess between hints
Always spend a real guess after opening a clue. The board’s own feedback is worth more than the next hint.
Stop early when you can
The fewer clues you open, the more the solve teaches you. Treat the later hints as a safety net, not a checklist.

After you solve, glance at past answers. Recognising real answer shapes is what lowers your average.
Frequently asked questions
How many Wordle hints do you give?
Nine or ten, ordered from vaguest to sharpest: word length, part of speech, whether it is a plural, first letter, last letter, vowels, repeated letters, unique letters, letter mix, and a final pattern nudge. The part-of-speech clue only appears when we can confirm it, because a wrong grammar hint is worse than none.
Will these hints spoil the answer?
No. Every clue stays hidden until you tap it, and the answer is too — nothing is written into the page until you press the button. You choose how much help to take.
Which hint should I open first?
Work in order. The early clues describe the shape of the word, which lets you keep solving yourself. Jumping straight to the final nudge ends the puzzle.
What if I am stuck after every hint?
Reveal the answer at the bottom of the hints panel, or open the solver and enter the letters your board has already confirmed or ruled out.
How often are the hints updated?
Every day. The clues are generated from the current daily puzzle and refresh automatically, along with the puzzle number and date.
Do you give grammar hints?
Yes. Two of the clues are grammatical: the part of speech (noun, verb, adjective or adverb) and whether the answer is a plural. Both are gentle clues that narrow the field without naming letters.
Is today’s Wordle answer a plural?
The plural clue on this page tells you. It is one of the most useful early hints, because assuming the wrong answer either way routinely costs players a guess.
Do the hints work on hard mode?
Yes. Hard mode restricts which guesses you may play, not what you may know. The vowel and repeated-letter clues are especially useful there.
